Dhokla Pith

Khamang Dhokla Preparation:

  1. Make a homogeneous mixture of Shakuntala Food Products’ Dhokla Mix with 250 ml. of water (mixture to be similar to onion or pakoda mixture)
  2. Leave aside the prepared mixture (premix) for 5 minutes
  3. Add a teaspoon of cooking oil to the premix and mix it well
  4. Apply a thin layer of cooking oil to a steam pan covering all sides of the pan and pour the premix into the pan
  5. Steam the preparation for 15-20 minutes for a great Dhokla

Cooking Notes: Do not add turmeric powder (haldi) to the premix

Cooking Tips: For great taste, add a tempering (tadka) of cooking oil, cumin seeds (Jeera), mustard seeds (sarson) and curry leaves (kari patta).

Storage Tips: Keep the flour mix away from water and any product with a strong odour.


Idli Dhokla

Idli Dhokla Preparation:

  1. Make a homogeneous mixture of Shakuntala Food Products’ Idli Dhokla Mix with 250 ml. of water (mixture to be similar to onion or pakoda mixture)
  2. Leave aside the prepared mixture (premix) for 5 minutes
  3. Add a teaspoon of cooking oil to the premix and mix it well
  4. Apply a thin layer of cooking oil to a steam pan covering all sides of the pan and pour the premix into the pan
  5. Steam the preparation for 15-20 minutes for a great Idli Dhokla

Cooking Notes: Do not add turmeric powder (haldi) to the premix

Cooking Tips: For great taste, serve with Sambhar
